McCain Foods celebrates grand opening of the ‘House of McCain’

September 14, 2023 – McCain Foods, a world leader in prepared potatoes and French fries, has launched its first ever fries-themed pop-up named ‘House of McCain’ on the 14th September 2023. The pop-up event was held for 10 days at Quennellbrill, Yeonnam-dong, Seoul. 
‘House of McCain’ is an exhibition with a contemporary art concept that expresses fries as a work of art. It is the first time for the brand and event to meet the Korean consumers, where many can experience and enjoy the borderless transition between art and food, and also learn more about McCain Foods and its range of delicious, innovative and quality products. The event is composed of artworks, photo zones, and experience zones using McCain’s signature Cajun fries and packages. Visitors learned about the brand including McCain’s past, present and future while tasting McCain fries and enjoying various artworks using technologies such as AI and projection mapping. 
The ‘Heritage Zone,’ the first space visitors encounter upon entering the House of McCain, shows McCain Foods’ strong heritage of more than 65 years. Visitors get close and personal with the brand and learn at a glance how the McCain brothers established the company in 1957 and how it rose to become a world leader in prepared potatoes and French fries now.  
The ‘Installation Art Zone’ offers parody artworks using fries inspired by contemporary pieces, and the ‘AI Art Zone’ showcases fries-themed collage art installations generated by AI. The ‘Projection Mapping Zone’ shows artistically collaboration between lights and fries, allowing the visitors to experience McCain fries in an artistic way. 
House of McCain also allowed the audience to interact with McCain, not only through simple artworks. After enjoying the exhibition, the ‘Experience Zone’ is set up so that visitors can enjoy their eyes and taste buds by tasting freshly cooked Cajun fries with an air fryer. In addition, with sculptures depicting McCain fries in the ‘Indoor & Outdoor Photo Zone,’ visitors can make joyful memories.
Jason Chan, Regional Managing Director of Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia & Taiwan Region, commented, “House of McCain is the first event that McCain meets Korean consumers.” He added, “Starting with this pop-up event, we will increase McCain’s brand awareness and presence in the domestic market by continuing to build strong relationships with partners, operators, as well as consumers.”
